Mars 4:45 The Resource Module: Launch!

When a Resource Module is ready for launch, this is the card that will send the module on its way. When a Mission Director completes a Power Module with this card, they will take the completed unit off the factory floor. During a round, players will need to complete 1 Resource Module.

“This module is the future of colonizing Mars. The building blocks of our Martian history will be created by this module.”

Mars 4:45 The Resource Module: Argon Displacement

There are dangers to living on the Red Planet and one of the scariest is the threat of fire. The Resource module has an attachment built in that will take the argon out of the atmosphere. Argon will be used to fight fires in the different modules and other areas with oxygenated zones. Thinking on a long term scale, argon will be needed as an insulating gas for building projects that require welding.

“Checked the Argon readings this morning. Fire Fighting levels are good, construction levels 10% below production targets. Will need to check this out during free time tomorrow.”

Mars 4:45 The Resource Module: Fluid Extraction

Has the colonists get to mining the natural resources of the Red Planet, there will be fluids they can extract from different sources. There will be water rich rocks, underground fluids to pump to the surface. These fluids will need to be purified but before they can be purified, they need to be extracted from their source.

“Water rich ore has been loaded, centrifuge is starting the heating cycle. We have 2 hours to prep for the ground fluid purification process.”

Mars 4:45 The Resource Module: Carbon Fuel

In the early stages of the colony, available technology will run on carbon based fuels. The resource module teams will start looking for these natural resources to get the colonization of Mars moving at full speed.

“We found our first carbon fuel supplies today. The rover has been programmed to map for the most level section to build the storage tanks. While the drill crew get the storage silos to the site, I am running the oxidation calculations.”

Mars 4:45 The Resource Module: Ore Excavation

When the Colonists get all set up on the Red Planet, they are going to start looking towards the future. That means the collection of resources starting with looking for and mining different ores. The resources taken from these ore stocks will make up the materials that will help expand from colonies to martian cities. The Resource Module is a very robust unit and the colony only needs one as part of a complete colony.

“We hit a seam of Iron ore today, running tests on on samples from excavation sites 1, 5 &6.”
